Police Seek Information On Serious Harm At Wadeye 23 September

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a serious harm incident that occurred last week in Wadeye.

Around 4pm on Thursday 19 September, police were notified by clinic staff that a 49-year-old man had presented with injuries that were believed to have occurred 2 days prior on the evening of Tuesday 17 September 2024.

The man's condition deteriorated and he was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital that day in a serious condition, where he currently remains receiving treatment.

The Major Crime Squad have been investigating the incident and have spoken to a number of witnesses.

At this stage, police believe the man was with two men within the community when he was assaulted.
