Police are appealing for information regarding a serious assault at Noosa Heads during the early hours of this morning (December 30).
About 2am, an altercation involving multiple males occurred at Hastings Street.
Police will allege during this altercation, a 29-year-old Buderim man was knocked to the ground and kicked multiple times in the head.
As a result, the man was transported to hospital for treatment of serious facial injuries.
Detectives from the Sunshine Coast District Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are investigating.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has CCTV or dash cam vision that may assist investigators, is urged to come forward immediately.
Police believe the people in the below vision may be able to assist with enquiries, and are appealing to anyone who recognises them to come forward.
Sunshine Coast District CIB Officer in Charge Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Mansfield said police would not tolerate violence in the Noosa community.
"Everyone deserves to make it home safe from a night out," Detective Senior Sergeant Mansfield said.
"Assaults of this nature, especially those resulting in head injuries, can lead to life-long consequences for both offenders and victims. One punch or kick or push really can kill.
"With New Year's Eve around the corner, I would strongly discourage anyone taking part in this sort of reckless behaviour."
