Police Seek Leads in Surry Hills Armed Robbery

Police have released CCTV vision as they appeal for information following an armed robbery at a Sydney corner store last weekend.

Just after 1am on Sunday 2 March 2025, officers attached to Surry Hills Police Area Command were called to a convenience store on Devonshire Street, Surry Hills, following reports of an armed robbery.

Police arrived and were told an unknown man had entered the store and threatened a staff member with a firearm before leaving the scene with various items.

No injuries were reported.

A crime scene was established, and police immediately commenced an investigation into the incident.

As investigations continue, police are hoping to speak to a man who may be able to assist officers with their inquiries.

The man is described as being about 20 to 30 years old, of medium build, and 160 -170cm tall. He was last seen wearing a hooded jumper, black pants, a black face covering, and white shoes.
