Police Seek Leads in Tweed Heads Cemetery Theft

Police are appealing for public assistance as they investigate a stealing from a cemetery in the states north earlier this week.

Police have been told between 5.30pm on Monday 19 August and 7am on Tuesday 20 August 2024, more than 100 plaques were stolen from headstones from a cemetery on Kirkwood Road, Tweed Heads South.

Officers from Tweed Byron Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
