Police Seek Missing Blue Mountains Children

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate two children missing from the Blue Mountains.

Jaxson McSorley, aged 13, and Ava Clarke, 12, were last seen at Leura last night (Thursday 16 January 2025).

When they could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Blue Mountains Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into their whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Jaxson and Ava's welfare due to their age.

Following inquiries, the children – who are known to each other – were sighted at Penrith Railway Station about 7.10am today (Friday 17 January 2025) and may be in the Penrith area.

Jaxson is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of slim build and was last seen wearing a grey fleece jumper, black pants. He was seen carrying a backpack.

Ava is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm tall, of slim build and was last seen wearing a black fleece jumper and jeans. She was seen carrying a backpack.
