Police Seek Missing Elderly Man from Guildford

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate an elderly man missing from Guildford.

Vailiami Takiai, aged 87, was last seen on Albert Street, Guildford about 5.55pm today (Friday 14 March 2025).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Concerns are held for Vailiami's welfare as he lives with dementia.

Vailiami is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 175cm tall, of slim build, with short white hair.

He was last seen wearing a white singlet, grey shorts and thongs.

Anyone with information on Vailiami's whereabouts is urged to contact Cumberland Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
