Police Seek Missing Man From North Coast

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the state's north coast.

Clyde Petrie, aged 53, was last seen in Elland, about 5.30pm on Tuesday 24 September 2024.

When concerns were raised for his welfare, officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were notified about 7.20pm on Wednesday (25 September 2024) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

Clyde is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall with heavy build, with short blonde hair and moustache, and blue-green eyes.

He was last seen wearing an orange hi-vis shirt, navy blue shorts and light brown work boots.

Clyde is believed to be driving a white 2005 Toyota Hilux extra cab with a large white camper on the tray, and NSW plates DA42CM.

He is known to frequent various campgrounds, and may have attended the Tingha area yesterday (Thursday 26 September 2024) and the Tenterfield area today (Friday 26 September 2024).
