Police Seek Missing Man in Eastern Suburbs

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's eastern suburbs.

Rudiger Burns, aged 84, was last seen at Vaucluse about 4.30pm today (Tuesday 24 September 2024).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare due to him living with dementia.

Rudiger is described as Caucasian appearance, 178cm, thin build, clean shaven and short white hair.

He was last seen wearing light blue collared shirt with brown pants.

Rudiger is known to frequent walking tracks and parks in the Watson's Bay area.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call Waverley Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
