Police are seeking assistance from the public after a man was arrested in possession of suspected stolen gold bullion last week.
About 3.45am on Wednesday 2 September, a man was located in possession of gold bullion pieces suspected to be stolen. The bullion consisted of seven square shaped ounce pieces as well as five round half ounce pieces and is valued at approximately $20,000.
A 42-year-old man from Parkside was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of the gold bullion and he has been remanded in custody.
Detectives from Eastern District CIB are seeking assistance from members of the public who may have any knowledge of the theft or may be able to assist with identifying the owner of the gold bullion.
