Police Seek Public Help in $100K Jewelry Heist

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for the public's assistance after a significant amount of jewellery was stolen from a store in Melbourne's CBD last year.

It is understood two men and a woman attended the jewellery store on Manchester Lane on 27 January 2024 about 4am.

The first man used a jemmy bar to force entry into the store and went inside with the woman whilst the second man kept watch.

The trio left the area at about 6.30am, however the first man and the woman returned over two hours later and went back inside the store about 9am.

Whilst inside it is believed the man stole around $100,000 worth of jewellery including diamond rings, antique pendants, and gold wedding bands.

The man and woman left the store again at about 9.20am.

Detectives have made extensive enquiries into the incident and today have released CCTV footage of two men and a woman who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
