Police Seek Tips on Alice Springs Assault

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a home invasion and indecent assault incident that occurred in Alice Springs last night.

Around 6.20pm, police received reports of an alleged indecent assault that had taken place at an East Side residence.

The female victim had been inside her residence when she observed a male unknown to her looking through her windows. The male offender allegedly proceeded to unlawfully enter the residence by breaking through the front door and indecently assaulted the victim.

The offender fled the scene after the victim allegedly fought him off.

Police were deployed to the area, but the offender remains outstanding. A crime scene was established, and investigations are ongoing.

The offending male is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, with a tall and slender build, and wearing dark-coloured clothing, including a hoodie.
