Police Seek Tips on Alice Springs Serious Harm Case 18 August

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a serious harm incident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning in Alice Springs.

At 5.00am, police were notified of a 30-year-old male victim presenting to Alice Springs Hospital with multiple stab wounds to his leg and body.

The victim alleged he had been travelling in a car with another male and a female earlier in the night. Around 3.30am, an altercation allegedly occurred between himself and the male occupant of the car, which subsequently pulled over on Bradshaw Drive in Gillen. When the two exited the car, the victim was allegedly stabbed multiple times by the male offender with an unknown edged weapon.

All persons involved are believed to be known to each other.

The male offender and the female fled the scene, and the victim attended hospital to receive treatment.

Police subsequently located the car involved and a crime scene was declared. The offender remains outstanding.

Members from the Alice Springs Criminal Investigations Branch are investigating the incident.
