Police Seek Tips on Cranebrook Break-In

Police will address the media to appeal for information following a break and enter in Sydney's west.

About 5.15am today (Saturday 24 August 2024), officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command were called to Laycock Street, Cranebrook, following reports three men had broken into a home.

Police have been told the men – who had their faces covered and one armed with a knife – became involved in a confrontation with a female occupant of the house.

The woman suffered a minor cut to her right hand but did not require ambulance treatment.

It's unclear if anything was taken before the men left the scene.

A crime scene has been established and police are conducting a canvass of the neighbourhood on foot.
