Police Seek Tips on Katherine Aggravated Burglaries

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after two separate aggravated burglaries in Katherine in recent days.

At around 1:00am on Sunday, police received reports that five unknown males unlawfully entered a service station on Katherine Terrace, allegedly causing property damage to gain entry.

The employee was able to lock themselves in a staffroom before the group stole a cash register and other small items and fled toward Katherine River.

Strike Force Cerberus are continuing to investigate the matter and urge anyone with information to make contact on 131 4444 and quote job number P24246287.

In a separate incident, around 1:00am this morning, police received reports of three youths allegedly entering a service station on Katherine Terrace, causing significant property damage on entry.

The two staff members were able to take refuge in the staffroom before the group stole a cash register and other small items before fleeing toward Ryan Park.

Investigations are ongoing.
