Police Seek Tips on Palmerston Domestic Violence

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses to a domestic violence assault that occurred in Palmerston earlier this week.

Around 9:30pm on Tuesday, police received reports that a man was assaulting a woman in carpark on the corner of The Boulevard and Roystonea Avenue.

The man allegedly assaulted the woman resulting in multiple blunt force injuries and puncture wounds.

Bystanders intervened and the offender fled the scene on foot.

The woman was conveyed to hospital for treatment and she remains in a stable condition.

The man and woman are known to one another. He has since been identified and efforts are underway to locate him.

Detectives from the Domestic and Family Violence Unit are urging anyone with information to contact Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
