Police Seek Tips on Wiley Park Armed Robbery

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Sydney's south-west.

Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command were called to a hotel on King Georges Road, Wiley Park, shortly before 3am (Wednesday 11September 2024), following reports of an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, police were told two men, armed with a handgun and a knife with their faces covered, stole cash before they left the scene in a car.

Police believe a third person drove the car.

Staff members were shaken but uninjured.

Officers established a crime scene and investigations are ongoing.

Police are investigating if the robbery is related to an earlier attempted armed robbery at a venue on Slade Road, Bexley North, about 2.20am.

The men were unable to enter the venue and left in a car.
