Police Seek Witnesses After Armed Robbery In Yarram

Wellington Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a shopping complex in Yarram last week.

Officers have been told an unknown male and female entered the complex on James Street between 3.50am and 4.15am on Friday 12 July.

Three staff members were physically restrained by the offenders, who then attempted to force entry into an ATM.

It is understood the offenders ran away empty handed.

Detectives have been told both offenders were armed with firearms during the incident, and luckily the three staff members were not injured.

Investigators are keen to speak with anyone who might know anything about the identity of the man and woman.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam or CCTV footage, are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
