Police Seek Witnesses - Fatal Crash In Alice Springs 20 September

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to a fatal crash in Alice Springs that occurred in the early hours of Sunday 15 September 2024.

Around 12:30am an indigenous male was struck by a vehicle on Telegraph Terrace in Alice Springs. Police and St John Ambulance paramedics attended the crash, however the 56-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A crime scene was declared on the southbound lanes of Telegraph Terrace between Trager Avenue and Achilpa Street. Detectives from the Major Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the matter.

Police wish to speak to three people pictured in CCTV footage who may be able to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Police urge anyone who witnessed the crash or has CCTV or dash-cam footage of the incident, and has not yet spoken to the police, to get in contact via 131 444.
