Gold Coast police have released an image of a vehicle that may have been involved in a hit and run traffic crash in Burleigh Heads early this morning, October 20, which left a man with serious injuries.
Initial investigations indicate at approximately 1.10am, a pedestrian was walking across Goodwin Terrace when they were struck by a silver utility.
The pedestrian, a 28-year-old Deception Bay man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
The vehicle, a silver Nissan Navara dual cab utility with a canopy and black snorkel on the passenger side, did not stop and continued driving.
It was last seen travelling north along the Gold Coast Highway before turning onto Christine Avenue where it continued travelling west.
Nearby residents, particularly anyone along Goodwin Terrace, the Gold Coast Highway and Christine Avenue, are urged to review any relevant CCTV.
Witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage are urged to immediately contact police.
