Police Seek Witnesses in Thursday Island Property Crimes

Detectives from Thursday Island are appealing for witnesses after a primary school was extensively damaged following a break-in on Friday night, September 13.

Initial investigations indicate a group of unknown people smashed windows and caused significant damage to nine classrooms at a school along Summers Street.

The break-in occurred between late Friday afternoon, September 13, and early Saturday morning, September 14.

Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward.
