Police Seek Witnesses in Violent North Lakes Robbery

Police are appealing for information after a 17-year-old boy was threatened with a knife during a robbery in North Lakes on Thursday, August 29.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 5.35pm, the boy was riding his bicycle along Memorial Drive, near the intersection of Diamond Jubilee.

He was in the company of another boy, who was walking alongside him.

The boys were then approached by two, unknown males from behind, also on bicycles.

One of the offenders produced a knife and demanded the victim's bike, which was subsequently taken by the offender.

The offenders were last seen riding westbound along Memorial Drive, towards Discovery Drive.

Investigators are appealing to witnesses, in particular, a male witness who assisted the victim following the incident.

He is described as wearing a green hi-vis shirt, work pants, and was riding his bike past the victim and offenders at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information, including or dashcam footage of the area around this time, is urged to contact police.
