Police Seek Witnesses To Armed Robbery In Diggers Rest

Brimbank Divisional Response Unit officers are appealing for public assistance after a supermarket was robbed in Diggers Rest earlier this month.

It is believed an unknown offender armed with a knife approached a staff member outside a supermarket on Glitters Road about 8.15pm on Saturday, 5 October.

The offender threatened the victim and dragged him into the store, making demands for money.

The offender ran from the scene with cash and tripped over whilst running along Welcome Road.

No one was physically injured.

He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175cm with a slim build.

He was last seen wearing grey pants, a black wind breaker with a Nike logo and black work boots.

Investigators have released an image and CCTV of a man they believe can assist with enquiries.
