Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an unlawful entry and theft at a Berrimah nursery.
Police were contacted at about 10:30pm last night when two persons were observed via remote surveillance at the premises. It is alleged that they stole a number of bonsai plants and pots to the value of $5000. Some of the plants are at least 10 years old.
Units attended the location and searched the property but were unable to locate the offenders.
One male was observed on CCTV with his face wrapped in a t-shirt, wearing what appeared to be gloves and work boots.
It is believed the two offenders accessed the property through the fence line fronting Lagoon Road, carrying the plants and pots to a nearby vehicle.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something, or anyone who has information about the stolen items is urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
