Police Seek Woman With Dementia in Summer Hill

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from the Sydney's south west.

Hazel Mitchell, aged 75, was last seen leaving home for a walk about 10am today (Friday 8 November 2024).

When she did not return, officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Hazel's welfare as she lives with dementia.

Hazel is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall with slim build, blonde hair and blue eyes.

She last seen was wearing blue jeans, red sneakers, white top and straw hat.

She is known to frequent the Leichhardt and Summer Hill areas.

Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to contact Burwood Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
