A man has been charged after police seized drugs, a significant quantity of property believed to have been stolen and illegal firearms parts during a targeted search at Exeter yesterday.
Members of Taskforce Raven, Northern Criminal Investigation Division, and Northern Drugs and Firearms Unit, with the support of specialist police resources and drone operators, conducted the search at a private residence on Wednesday 12 March.
During the search, police seized approximately $30,000 worth of property including power tools and Tasmanian number plates.
Police also located and seized quantities of MDMA and cannabis, as well as illegal firearms parts including silencers.
A 32-year-old Exeter man was arrested and charged with multiple offences including possessing a silencer, possessing ammunition when not the holder of an appropriate firearms licence, possessing a controlled drug, and unlawful possession.
He will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date.
