At 8.45pm Monday 3rd October 2016 Police have responded to an alleged armed offender in Broome., WA Police say
An altercation has occurred between a number of offenders, one of whom was armed with a knife.
A 66 year old male from Balgo has been shot by police and taken to the Broome Hospital for treatment. His condition is not believed to be life threatening.
An internal investigation will be conducted into the circumstances of the incident.
