Police Suspect Arson in Canley Heights House Fire

Police have commenced an investigation following a house fire in Sydney's south west.

About 2.40am today (Sunday 11 August 2024), emergency services were called to Foxlow Street, Canley Heights, following reports of a fire at a property undergoing renovation.

Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze.

The structure was unoccupied at the time, and there are no reports of injuries.

Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police believe the fire was deliberately lit.
