Police treating death suspicious in Port Neill - man arrested, South Australia

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man at Port Neill yesterday afternoon.

About 4.40pm on Saturday 3 September, police and emergency services were called to a property at Port Neill to check on the welfare of a man.

Police located a 66-year-old man deceased in a caravan.

Following an investigation, a 28-year-old local man was arrested and charged with murder. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court on Monday 5 September.

Major Crime Investigators and Forensic Investigators will be attending the scene later today to assist with the investigation.

The two parties are known to each other and this was not a random incident.
