Police Treating Fire As Suspicious At Fullarton

Police are investigating an arson at Fullarton this morning.

Just after 1.30am Thursday 30 May emergency services were called to a group of units on the corner of Fullarton Road and White Avenue after reports that a brush fence was on fire.

The fire took hold quickly setting the home and two cars on fire. When police and MFS arrived they evacuated the occupants, a man and woman in their 70's. MFS battled the blaze and were able to bring it under control in about 30 minutes.

Thankfully there were no injuries, however the premises was extensively damaged, the brush fence along with a Honda and Hyundai destroyed.

Although the investigation is in it's early stages police believe the fire was deliberately lit. Police Crime Scene Investigators will be attended the scene this morning to assist with the investigation.
