Police Treating Fires As Suspicious, Inala

Police are investigating following two suspicious fires in Inala earlier this morning, December 28.

Emergency services were called to a residence on Bamboo Street, about 1.30am to reports of a fire.

The fire was extinguished quickly, and the house was only superficially damaged.

A short time later around 1.55am, emergency services were called to another fire at an address on Japonica Street.

Upon arrival, the building was well alight and was significantly damaged.

Initial investigations indicate the two incidents are linked.

A crime scene was established at both locations and investigations into the cause are ongoing.
