Police Treating House Fire As Suspicious, Gulliver

Detectives are investigating a suspicious house fire in Gulliver early this morning, December 26.

Emergency services were called just after 3am to a Mooney Street address following reports the house was on fire.

Three people were inside at the time of the fire.

A 53-year-old woman and 83-year-old man were transported to Townsville University Hospital with critical injuries, and a 55-year-old man was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

A crime scene has been declared, and investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.

Investigators are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.
