Police treating house fire as suspicious, Gympie

Gympie detectives are appealing for public assistance regarding a suspicious house fire that occurred in Pie Creek early this morning.

Around 1.45am Sunday morning, emergency services were called to a Herron Road address following reports that a house was on fire.

Following initial investigations, the fire was deemed suspicious and a number of items were reported as stolen from the property.

Detectives are urging anyone who may have witnessed or captured dash cam footage of any suspicious behaviour from the area to come forward.
