Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a second man following an assault in Underwood on Sunday, March 16.
The 25-year-old man, who is currently serving a sentence for unrelated offences in a Queensland Correctional Centre, has since been charged with three counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) and one count of contravene access order.
He is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 1, 2025.
Detective Acting Inspector Daniel Cunningham said as evident by these efforts, the multi-layered response to the investigation continues to be a priority.
"We will continue to target this type of behaviour, and our officers remain focused on investigating and taking action against those involved," Detective Acting Inspector Cunningham said.
