Police have charged three teenagers following investigations into an assault in Mudgeeraba on Thursday, May 9.
It is alleged around 4.30pm, a man in his 60s was driving a bus along Springsure Drive before he stopped and exited the bus to speak with a group of three juveniles.
A physical altercation then ensued and the driver sustained serious injuries.
A 17-year-old boy from Southport and a 14-year-old boy from Mudgeeraba have each been charged with serious assault of a person over 60.
Both boys have been dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
A 15-year-old boy from Tallai has been charged with grievous bodily harm and wilful damage.
He was released on bail and will appear before the Southport Children's Court on May 15.
