Police Update 1: Assault Investigation At Logan

Detectives are appealing for public assistance as they continue to investigate the assault of a 52-year-old man on Sunday night, January 5.

Initial investigations indicate the man was assaulted near Rudyard Street, Inala, around 6.30pm.

Several hours later, police were called to Logan Hospital around 12.30am on Monday (January 6) after a man presented with significant head injuries.

The man has since been transported to a specialist care facility where he remains in a critical condition.

A vehicle belonging to the victim, a grey Toyota Rav4 with Queensland registration 979 LP2, remains outstanding.

The vehicle was last sighted at a fast-food restaurant on Government Road, Richlands, between 6pm and 6:30pm on Sunday evening.

Investigators are also appealing for anyone with dashcam vision from the vicinity of Government Road, between Archerfield Road and Forest Lake Boulevard, to contact police.
