Police Update 1: Attempted Murder Charge, Acacia Ridge

The 17-year-old boy charged in relation to this matter has been remanded in custody and is now expected to appear before the Richlands Childrens Court on June 27, 2024.

The victim remains in intensive care and investigations into the events preceding the incident continue.

Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch are seeking the assistance of anyone that travelled along Gregory Street between 2 and 2.30pm on Friday May 17 to review their dash cam footage.

Anyone that may have seen or has footage of the 19-year-old victim walking along Gregory Street is encouraged to call Acacia Ridge police or Crime stoppers.
