Gold Coast detectives and members of Taskforce Maxima have issued an arrest warrant for a 37-year-old Oxenford man in relation to a firearm incident that occurred in Mermaid Waters on Friday, November 24.
Police allege Saleh Atasoy was the driver of an Isuzu D-Max that was involved in a road rage incident with a 53-year-old driver of a Ford Ranger on Bermuda Street in Broadbeach Waters around 2.40pm.
During this incident, Atasoy allegedly produced a handgun and fired a projectile into the side of the Ford Ranger before fleeing the scene.
No one was injured during the incident.
Members of the public are warned that this man is armed and is considered to be dangerous.
If he is sighted, contact police on 000 (triple zero) straight away.
Police are also appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has vision, to come forward.
