A 41-year-old woman has died in hospital following an incident in Vincent on Saturday, October 19.
Emergency services were called to a Dalrymple Service Road property just before 1.30pm to reports the 41-year-old woman had sustained serious injuries.
She was declared deceased at Townsville University Hospital this afternoon, October 22.
Police declared a crime scene at the property where they took a 42-year-old Vincent man into custody.
He was charged with grievous bodily harm (domestic violence) and is due to reappear at Townsville Magistrates Court on December 6.
Police are continuing to provide support to the family of the 41-year-old woman who have requested privacy at this time.
Witnesses, or anyone with information or relevant footage, are urged to contact police.
Investigations into the cause of death are ongoing.
