Police have charged a woman following investigations into the death of a 67-year-old woman from Bungalow yesterday afternoon.
It will be alleged that emergency services were called to a Joan Street address on September 23, following reports a woman had sustained a life-threatening head injury.
Emergency services attempted to revive the woman; however, she was declared deceased at the scene a short time later.
Following investigations, officers arrested and charged a 25-year-old Cairns North woman with murder (domestic violence offence).
She is due to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court today, September 24.
