Detective from Townsville Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 31-year-old man following a fatal stabbing in Kirwan last night.
It will be alleged the 31-year-old man entered a business on Thuringowa Drive at approximately 4.40pm and stabbed a 26-year-old man known to him.
Emergency services attempted to revive the 26-year-old man; however, he was decaled deceased at the scene.
The 31-year-old Cranbrook man has been charged with one count each of murder, enter dwelling and commit, and contravention of domestic violence order.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before the Townsville Magistrates Court this morning.
