Gatton detectives investigating the overnight death of a 40-year-old Fernvale man have charged a man with murder.
Police located a 34-year-old Laidley Heights man at the Markai Road, Lockyer Waters address. He has been charged with one count of murder and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday, March 16, 2020.
Both men were known to each other.

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Lockyer Waters overnight.
Preliminary investigations indicate around 12.15am, police were called to an incident at Markai Road and located a man decease from a gunshot wound.
A crime scene was declared, and a man is assisting police with the investigation.
Investigators are urging anyone who has any information about the incident or who was in the vicinity and has dashcam footage to contact police.
