Police have launched a search operation for missing 78-year-old Alan Rainbow at Carindale.
Alan went missing from a Norham Court property at approximately 11pm on Tuesday July 18, and has not been seen or heard from since.
Family and police hold serious concerns for Alan's welfare, as his disappearance is out of character.
Police and State Emergency Service volunteers have this morning searched shopping centres and parkland areas in Carindale.
The operation included SES volunteers on the ground, as well as support from police officers and community members.
Residents with Carindale and surrounding areas are urged to review their CCTV and dashcam footage from Tuesday night, and to check their properties.
Alan is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall, with grey hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information about Alan's whereabouts is urged to immediately contact police.
