Police are urging residents to check their properties and nearby structures for signs of missing man Paul Kearns in the Burrum Heads area.
This morning, search efforts entered their third day with police on foot, motorbikes, SES, Rural Fire Brigade, Remote Piloted Aerial System (RPAS) and Queensland Remote Area Tracking (QRAT) personnel.
The 77-year-old man (pictured) was last seen at an address on Riverview Drive, Burrum Heads between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Monday, December 16 and has not been seen or heard from since.
He is described as Caucasian, approximately 183cm tall, with a proportionate build and grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a grey and yellow t-shirt, navy long shorts, a yellow and green camouflage cap and sneakers.
Police and family hold concerns for Paul's welfare as he has a medical condition which causes confusion.
Anyone with information regarding Paul's whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
