Rockhampton detectives investigating a hit and run incident in which a male pedestrian sustained serious injuries at Norman Gardens on Christmas Eve are appealing for owners of white Toyota Hilux's to check their vehicles.
Detective Senior Sergeant Luke Peachy, Officer-in-Charge of Rockhampton Criminal Investigation Branch said police believe the utility involved in the crash could be stolen and it is possible the owners are unaware.
"We are asking locals who own a white Toyota Hilux utility built between 2015 - 2020 to check and make sure their vehicle has not been stolen."
Detectives have released further CCTV footage of the wanted vehicle. The vision was taken at Main Street, Park Avenue around 1am on Thursday, December 24.
An 18-year-old Rockhampton man remains in Rockhampton Base Hospital.

Serious hit and run, Norman Gardens
Police are appealing for footage and witnesses to a serious hit and run incident at Norman Gardens this morning.
Around 1am, a white ute travelling along Yaamba Road at the intersection of Moores Creek Road hit a pedestrian walking near the road.
The car failed to stop and left the 18-year-old man seriously injured on the road.
Members of the public rendered first aid to the man prior to the arrival of emergency services.
The man was transported in a critical condition to Rockhampton Base Hospital.
Police are encouraging anyone who has footage or witnessed the incident to contact police.
