Police Update 1: Wounding Charge, Surfers Paradise

Police have charged two teenagers following an alleged wounding in Surfers Paradise on Saturday, October 5.

It will be alleged emergency services were called to Remembrance Drive at approximately 6.15am following reports a 20-year-old man had sustained a wound to the stomach.

Upon arrival, police located two 20-year-old Toowoomba men with stab wounds.

Both were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment, where one remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 17-year-old Richlands male and 16-year-old Pallara male have been charged with one count each of acts intending to disable.

Both were refused police bail and are due to appear at Brisbane Childrens Court today, October 8.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant information are urged to contact police. Investigations are continuing.
