Police Update 1: Wounding, Deception Bay

Police have charged a 26-year-old man following an alleged wounding incident in Deception Bay overnight, September 5.

Around 11.20pm, it will be alleged there was an altercation between a 26-year-old man and a 27-year-old man at an address on Deception Bay Road.

It will be further alleged the 26-year-old man stabbed the 27-year-old man in the leg with a knife during the altercation.

The 26-year-old man left the scene prior to police arrival but was located nearby a short time later, where he was taken into custody.

Officers on scene provided first aid to the 27-year-old man before he was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 26-year-old Urangan man has been charged with wounding and is due to appear before Redcliffe Magistrates Court today.
