Police have charged a second man in relation to alleged property offences at Camp Hill and Kangaroo Point on March 15.
At approximately 3am on Saturday, a Kia Sorrento was stolen from a Kangaroo Point address.
At 6am, a 48-year-old man on Audrey Street at Camp Hill was approached by two males armed with a machete, who demanded the man's car keys.
The man refused and he was assaulted, sustaining lacerations to his arm and chest.
The pair then left in the stolen Kia Sorrento which was later located abandoned.
A short time later, two BMWs, including a silver BMW320i, were stolen from a Henderson Street address.
Around 12:45am this morning, March 17, the stolen silver BMW320i was sighted by police travelling west on Duffield Road in Margate.
Officers attempted to intercept the vehicle before it allegedly evaded police and fled the area.
The vehicle was located by police on Plume Street in Redcliffe around 1.23am, after it crashed into a fence.
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene and charged with multiple offences including enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle speeding and evasion offence at night.
He has been denied bail and is due to appear before Redcliffe Magistrates Court today, March 17.
