A man taken into custody yesterday afternoon following the alleged murder of a 23-year-old man at Mansfield has been charged with weapons offences.
The 34-year-old East Brisbane man was arrested by dog squad officers a short distance from the scene.
He has since been charged with one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon (revolver), possession of detachable magazines without licence and authority required to possess explosives and appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court today. He has been remanded in custody to reappear on September 29.
The charges relate to items located at a Carindale residence and form part of ongoing homicide investigations.
Following the location of additional CCTV, police can confirm that four males were involved in the initial altercation with the deceased male, three of which remain outstanding.
