Police update 2: Homicide investigation, Gailes

Ipswich detectives investigating the murder of a man at a Gailes home on the weekend are continuing their appeal for information from the public.

Investigators are particularly interested in locating a silver Holden Commodore understood to have been involved in the incident which took place on Old Logan Road around 4pm on Saturday, July 10.

The 2000s model wagon, pictured below, has a distinctive black bonnet, black rims and a black tow ball.

A 36-year-old Gailes man who sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest died shortly afterwards.

Detectives are also continuing their appeal for any information about the men pictured below who could assist with inquiries.

Anyone with vision or further information regarding the location of those involved or the vehicle depicted is encouraged to exercise caution and contact police immediately.
