Police are calling for the Childers community to search their properties as the search for an 82-year-old man missing from Childers since Sunday, May 19 continues.
Peter Hodgins was last seen leaving an address along Morgan Street around 6.45pm, heading south towards Broadhurst Street, wearing a blue polo shirt, jeans, brown shoes and a dark coloured coat.
The physical search for Mr Hodgins is continuing with the focus intensifying around the sides of the Isis Highway and Bundaberg Highway in the Childers area.
Police greatly appreciate the assistance of the Childers community so far but Bundaberg Patrol Group Chief Inspector Grant Marcus is appealing for residents within a 5km radius of the Childers township to search their properties again.
"Even if you have searched it previously, please do so again," Chief Inspector Marcus said.
"In addition to searching homes and businesses, please also pay attention to anything that could be used as a shelter like carports or sheds.
"I'd also like to remind motorists and truck drivers travelling the Bruce or Isis Highways in the vicinity of Childers to be on the lookout.
"If you locate anything of interest, please contact police.
"We're grateful for the community's help and corporation during the search."
